Welcome to Bluevale's Grade 10 Comm-Tech Wiki Page!

This Wiki is set-up for use as a collaborative classroom for students in Bluevale's TGJ2O course (Grade 10 Communications Technology).  Students will use this page throughout the course to access resources and assignments, share ideas with classmates and post responses and reactions to class activities and articles.  As a member of this class, you are expected to access and use this site regularly (5-6 times per week).  Your instructor may require that you log in to read and respond to a posted article, video or website link.   You can also work with your classmates on practical projects (assisting one another, sharing ideas, planning, etc.).  Your instructor will post important information, handouts, assigned readings and other vital course-related as the course progresses.  Make visiting this site a habit!  You are recommended to add this site to your Internet Explorer Favourites or Firefox Bookmarks.

Wiki Expectations & Guidelines:

  • As the wiki page is connected to our class, you are to conduct yourself accordingly when using this site.  This is NOT to be used for socializing, etc. (that's what sites such as Facebook, MySpace and MSN are for).  Postings are to be school/class related ONLY unless your instructor provides other instructions.

  • All postings will use "professional" language and must be school appropriate.  This means you should try to avoid using slang, MSN/texting lingo, etc.  Failure to adhere to this guideline may result in your removal from the wiki.

  • Students are expected to visit and post to this site regularly (min. 5-6 times per week and more frequently as specific class activities require).  You are strongly encouraged to read and reply to postings as often as possible.  Think of this wiki as a helpful compliment to school time for sharing ideas and working together to plan and complete class activities.

  • Part of your course mark comes from your online work on this wiki!  Make sure you visit often to stay up-to-date with class activities and information.
